ADJUSTMENT
When your prescription changes or when wearing prescription lenses for the first time, you will need to adjust to your new glasses. It can take anywhere from two to ten days to adjust to a new prescription depending on the patient.
The fundamental thing is to keep at it. If you don’t, then when you try again you’ll be starting from zero and will have to endure the adjustment period all over again.
PRESCRIPTION GLASSES
To make sure your glasses last as long as possible we recommend you use a spray liquid lens cleaner and the lens cloth that comes with every pair of glasses we sell. Otherwise you can also use water and dry your glasses with a soft cotton cloth.
We wouldn’t recommend you use wet disposable cloths. Some brands on the market could damage your lenses.
CONTACT LENSES
It is particularly important when using contact lenses to use hygenic methods in the care and handling of your lenses. Be particularly careful in the use of the liquid solutions used to keep your contact lenses sterile.
SUNGLASSES
When buying sunglasses, the most important thing is the quality of the lenses. That is why you should always buy your sunglasses in an accredited establishment.
Low quality sunglasses use lenses that don’t protect your eyes from the sun and can often have imperfections that create distorted visiton, colour changes and can even cause dizziness or nausea.
The most serious side effects are those caused by lack of protection against UV rays. This can cause permanent damage to your vision.
These are just some of the reasons why we recommend that you buy sunglasses from an optician, even if they are not high-end or well-known brands.
SPORTS EYEWEAR
Be it on the beach or in the mountains, if you need to wear glasses when you do sport the best protection for your eyes are polarized lenses. These block UV rays and eliminate glare allowing for comfortable vision.
